This is a manifesto. Not a business plan. Not a careful policy paper. Just something I believe hard enough to put on the internet.
The deal
Humans of Earth should not have to sell most of their waking life just to stay alive.
Not “optimize your hustle.” Not “find your passion career.” The grind as identity can end. We are done pretending that endless paid labor is the point of being alive.
This is not me saying people should stop doing things. People will still make stuff, care for each other, explore, build, rest, play. The difference is choice. Work you need to survive is the part that should go. Work you pick up because you want to is fine. Doing nothing for a day is fine too. Both are human.
The people sitting on extreme wealth, and the people running systems that only work if everyone stays anxious and employed, do not get to own the future by default. Their roles can become unnecessary. Power that only exists to keep people working can fade. Living should not require anyone’s blessing.
We live where we live. In our flats. On beaches. In forests. In cities that finally get quieter. Wherever we already are, or wherever we want to go next. That is enough of a plan.
Let them build it
The people building AI keep saying it will change everything. Fine. Then point it at the boring, necessary, repeatable stuff that still eats our hours:
Food. Shelter. Transport. Medicine. Maintenance.
Build the robots. Automate the survival layer. That is what the tech was supposed to buy us. Time. Freedom. Not another dashboard to stare at until we die.
One job for that industry, for a while: make survival work optional, then make it obsolete. When the systems actually run for everyone, the builders can lay down too.
What comes after
No job as a ticket to exist.
No money as a gate on food, housing, movement, care.
Not because people become empty. Because once machines can carry the survival load, charging humans rent just for being alive stops making sense. Acting like scarcity is forever was always half a story once we had tools this strong.
You go where you want. You live where you live. You walk into forests. You sit on beaches. You stay in your flat and make art, sleep, talk to people, learn something useless, or do nothing for a while. Rest is not a character flaw. Neither is curiosity without a paycheck attached.
Nature is not a weekend. Nature is the default again. We are animals who got very good at inventing cages. Time to open the doors.
The point
That is the thing.
Not growth for its own sake. Not GDP as some moral score. Not climbing a ladder that only leads into more ladder.
Just live.
If that sounds naive, good. Naive is what they call any future that does not keep a few hands on the controls. I would rather be naive and free than realistic and owned.
Make survival optional. Point the machines at abundance. Then go outside.
We just live.
